Cookie statement

This page explains which cookies and similar techniques (such as local storage) this app uses, why, and how you can manage them. For the wider picture, see our privacy statement.

Under Dutch law (Telecommunicatiewet) and the GDPR (AVG), we may place functional storage without asking, but we ask your consent before placing analytics cookies. You can refuse, and refusing is just as easy as accepting — the app keeps working either way. We use no advertising or tracking cookies. By default, the app sets no cookies at all; a cookie is only placed if you enable analytics.

Functional (always active, no consent needed)

The app works entirely with data stored on your own device — no functional cookies are used. This storage stays on your device and is not shared with anyone.

Local storage & cache

Type: Local storage / Cache Storage (first-party, on your device)
Purpose: Remembers your theme and highlight colour, your favourites and last opened festival, when festival data was last refreshed, a cached copy of schedules and weather for offline use, your analytics choice, and the state of the optional “support” message.
Stored by: Your browser, for this app only. Not sent to us.
Retention: Until you clear it via Settings → Reset or your browser removes it.

Analytics (only with your consent, off by default)

These are placed only after you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner (or turn analytics on under Settings → Privacy). They help us understand, in an aggregated and pseudonymous way, how the app is used. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses, and we have switched off Google Signals and advertising personalisation.

Advertising / tracking cookies

We do not use any advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Managing your choice

Change or withdraw analytics consent at any time under Settings → Privacy — as easy as giving it.
Erase everything on your device (cookie, local data and cache) via Settings → Reset.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking functional storage may stop parts of the app from working.

Other techniques

To work offline, the app uses a service worker and the browser’s Cache Storage to keep a copy of the app and festival data on your device. This is functional and contains no personal data.
